Tips on Saving the Environment
A long time ago Doc was asked by his friends "How can we do something to help the environment?". So Doc has put together this quick list of easy to achieve tips on recycling more and using less.
- Buy at least one reusable carrier bag (we would recommend popping into your local Bargain Booze or Thorougoods and buying one of theirs) before using it again and again and again and again and again and again... you get the idea. Apart from the Bargain Booze bags being very sexy and guaranteeing you lots of attention from affluent, single people, they will also mean that you don't have to keep taking the horrible plastic bags that are ruining landfill sites across the UK.
- Pop wooden spoons into the top of empty wine bottles and place them around your home. Not only are you helping to cut down on waste by reusing things that you would usually throw away, you are also instantly creating the look of your favourite restaurant. Why go out when you can stay in and save money. An added extra is that you will always have an instant reminder of your favourite wine for your next trip to Bargain Booze!
- Shred important documents before sending them for recycling. If possible, put them into your composting bin. They will decompose with the rest of your garden waste.
